About to punch a baby: USB device problem

Hey guys,
Yesterday, out of nowhere, my computer started doing the USB disconnect/connect sounds, mostly at random intervals. I didn't pay much attention to it, thought that once I shut my computer off and go sleep, it should be fine in the morning.
BUT IT WASN'T.
It keeps doing the USB disconnect "da-dum" and connect "dum-da!" sounds at random intervals, and it's driving me nuts.
I checked the "Remove USB safely" thing, nothing.
I couldn't find anything in the Event Viewer either.
Did that ever happen to you guys/have any clue on how to fix this?

Bad drivers probably

could try..
Right click on the lil speaker in the corner, and Turn down "System sounds"
atleast until you get real help.

Unplug each USB and see which one is causing the issue. Like Lord Killington said, it could be drivers. You can also check Device Manager:

Windows 7
Start > "Device Manager"

Windows XP
Start > Right Click "My Computer" > Manage > Device Manager
