I was approached by Valkyrie, asking if I could assist her with a trade involving cash goods. I agreed, and the trade went smoothly, however while I was playing, I received what I thought was a random friend invite...who turned out to apparently be the original seller, who had his account hijacked. He instantly claimed I stole them and threatened me with violence and legal action if I didn't give them back. I calmly explained that I had not bought nor sold any items, and my DOTA 2 Inventory was empty. He gave me a profile link...which turned out NOT to be me, but a new imposter. *Report pending* I thanked him for the tip, and asked how I could help him, as he wanted his items back, and was threatening with a call to Steam. Since I knew I was innocent, I offered to walk him through the process, until at one point, after examining the data, acknowledged that he indeed, had his account hijacked. I offered to assist him with making a new, proper, Hijack report with Steam, until he told me that the chat he had with the Hijacker, broke down and he offered all his items and the monies payed back. I decided to try it out, see if he's willing to pay restitution, and after about an hour of negotiating, all parties came to agreeable terms. Valkyrie will NOT be making a Scam Report, joanfds will NOT be making a Scam Report, but will still create a Support Ticket to Steam. (I asked them to make some, they declined.)
