They're twins who also happen to be born on the same year and day as @Doctor Waffles. We just know old video games because we gamed young or discovered them as we got older.

We grew up playing old consoles along with some that were popular at the time, the playstation 2 and Gamecube. Neither of which did we know needed memory cards.
