You sure they're putting you completely under? A lot of people mistake general anesthesia (knocked out cold) for conscious sedation (can't remember most if anything of the procedure but you're still awake, just loopy as all hell throughout the whole thing). General anesthesia is only bad to come out of if you're under for a really long time.
Yes, I am sure. I needed more than one pre-op. Mine's a special case as my aunt has died once and had to be ressucitated during a surgery, and I my family is prone to things like sleep apnea. My aunts surgery obviously wasn't a wisdom teeth one, but they still want me in a hospital just in case.
i got my 4 wisdom teeth removed under local anesthesia. I'm pretty sure i received at least 10 injections. I could feel the pressure and could hear the sound of the saw, but overall no pain at all. 10/10 would do again
I had all mine surgically removed put completely under. It's not so bad. You feel alert but then about a minute later you feel sluggish and before you know it you're waking up with everything done and your mouth full of gauze. You'll most likely go right back to sleep when you get home, so just take it easy and stick to liquids and very soft foods for the first few days.
That horizontal thing is pretty fucked up. On the bright side, you get knocked out. I didn't and while it didn't hurt getting the tooth pulled out, it was excruciating when they pushed the suction pipe against my mouth and stretched it until my lips felt they were ripping.
Don't drink out of any straws either. The suction from your mouth can cause the blood clot to pop out which can cause dry socket, and dry socket sucks massive donkey balls
i thought it was weird when my brother got back from the dentist and was told to not drink through a straw, good to know because i'd totally have drunk through a straw
