It's not bad, just because Brock isn't here anymore doesn't mean it's shit. There's a lot of hype built into it. I'm only waiting until Monday for English subtitles and Thursday for the confirmation.

Brock leaving sucked but it's not the reason I don't like the anime.

Most of the characters are dumb.

Pikachu lost to Snivy because Zekrom took it's electricity, it beat that same Snivy when it became Serperior in the league.

He set out on his journey to become a Pokemon Master, "Catching em all" was a side quest, he never did that though, he met many Pokemon to this date but didn't bother catching even before Unova.

Not true about the Pokemon Master thing, when Ash is leaving Sinnoh, he says beating Cynthia will make him Pokemon master. Same scenario with Alder. You don't need to catch all Pokemon to be a Pokemon master? Do you think there's enough room in Oak's lab for all that?

The large build up doesn't mean those characters aren't dumb. There is no charm to them.

at the begginning of the series, it was very obvious his goal was to catch them all. That shit was sprayed all of the place and it was shoved down our throats harder then anything else in that fucking show

His actual first goal was to become a Pokemon Master, Ash has never claimed "Catching em all" would be how he does that. Ash only claimed that it's the first step back when he tried to catch Pidgey.
