Got a gift subscription for 6 months from my cousin. Two things in the 6 crates I actually thought were neat. Most of the time the shit they give you feel like it belongs coming in happy meals.
some of it can be pretty lame, but for such a cheap price i think it's fair. like the shirt and tie in this months crate are pretty cool. i think they're getting a lot better with what they put in the crates. i also really like how there's all of the exclusive items, cause if you don't like them you can just turn around and sell them.
a voltron t-shirt, a 10-doh! figure (looks kinda like an old nes cartridge but it has arms and legs n shit), star wars comic, space invaders tie, a little notebook that you can make your own comics in, and 8 bit glasses
Most of the stuff is lame in fairness, and 20 dollars a month isn't really a cheap price. It's worth it if you're super super super super super super super into videogames, but the quality has been declining a lot from what I read. I just don't think it's worth the money personally, I'd advise anyone looking into scooping it up to look at the last few months of boxes and see if thats up your alley.
it's cheap when you take into value what each item costs. the 10-doh! would run about $10, the shirt is probably like 15 - 20, the tie (which the company hasn't even started producing for the public yet) would probably be about 10 also. i mean, that's about 40 dollars worth of stuff, all exclusive, that you cannot get anywhere else unless you love to search ebay, for $13 and some shipping.
