Well fuck at least tell me the controls I should use... I am assuming using up is bad because its impossible to use up tilt?

It's possible to up tilt, just a lot harder. Really use what ever you want, but most people turn tap jump off. Feel free to do what ever.

I find x and y harder to use and using up doesn't put a dent in my play style one bit. just cause x and y work for other people doesn't mean it's the only way to play!

It makes it inconsistent. SRoy asked me to give him comp tips. The only thing comp players use tape jump for is Up B OoS, but sroy doesn't main any characters that use that

You got into this conversation out of context. Sroy has told me he wants to play this game on a more competitive level, so I told him that if he wants to do that, tap jump off is the best way. Stop forcing yourself into everything

I really want to be able to use X/Y for jumping as it makes up tilt to much easier. But I really can't play comfortably like that, probably because all my Smash life I used up. I need to practice with that.
