Never because they made gen 1 and 2 remakes already. I want a gen 3 one though cause that is my favorite gen

Gen 2 was on DS and Gen 1 is kinda still living with the new one having a lot of Gen 1 pokemon. But even then why would they remake a game they had already remade?

Not remake, re release on the 3DS virtual console. Old pixely graphics and all

Gen 1 was super broken. Fire Red and Leaf Green were good remakes in that they fixed a lot but they are not going to release something that can easily be implemented into a new game entirely. If they did what I wanted them to do Nintendo would go down as the greatest entity of all time

What's wrong with re releasing them in their original form on the 3DS? Maybe fix some of the buds, I don't know.

They would rather keep moving forward then going backwards. Plus most of the features would have to be updated, codes would have to be recoded, pokemon would have to be updated, types would have to be accounted for, ect. It is never going to happen and that is for the best because, honestly, the original games are pretty busted upon revisiting them.

I'm not asking for an update, I just want them to re release them, I don't care if its as buggy as the original. The mario re release still has the bugs.

lolno. Do you know how many people would buy it from the nintendo e store? Plus, it won't cost them any money to release it via download, maybe might cost some money to port it

People wouldn't buy because face the facts. The original Red and Blue(and add in silver and gold) are really bad. The stats are broke, the screen is too small, some moves are really cheap, and it suffers from the same thing all GB games suffered: repetitive music and low quality sprites. It is not bad because it is broken. It is bad because it is dated.

I believe you are forgetting that people are nostalgia blind. People WOULD buy it, it would probably be one of the most bought things from the store for a long time.

People are also frugal and most fans would agree that a rerelease would be both pointless and unplayable

Not saying the first 2 gens are bad. They are just dated but have remakes that are vastly superior in every way

I broke down and spent 45$ on a set of Gen 3 Pokemons for my GBA SP. Beats the hell out of my Pokemon Gold. Ohgawd, the headaches.
