This makes me sad. I lose outdoor cats all the time since coyotes are rampant in my area. They either chase them so far that they get lost or they eat them. I know that feel bro. :(

Found my cat in his yard, at the vet right now. They found a bullet in her back

Have the vet save that bullet, and file a police report while they're working on her. As a gun owner myself and an animal lover, this kind of shit makes me double rage. Get the cops involved and see if that bullet is his so they can put his fucking ass in prison.

Just got back, we had to put her down. But yeah we're calling the cops. The vet is keeping the body with the bullet for evidence for when the police ask them about it. Hopefully they can do something about it, I don't think this is the first time our neighbor has done this

They definitely can have a ballistics guy take a look at the round, since the cat was found in your neighbor's yard that's probable cause for a warrant to seize his weapon. Once they do that they can match the ballistics to his gun.

I sure fucking hope you get this guy, I want to strangle him myself.
