Me too :) I've always driven Volvo's just in case something happened. This is the first time it did and all of my car's safety witchcraft was the difference between me opening my door and walking out to throw her phone on the road and having to wait to be cut out haha.

Volvo's are fantastic for crash test ratings. I used to test the SC90 and if I could afford it, that is the car I would be driving.

Did you smash her phone? If I was the cop taking that report I would have let you and looked the other way.

Also how is your shoulder doing? Did the accident mess anything up from your surgery?

I did smash it haha, the cop just shrugged and told her she had more serious problems now. My shoulder is fine, it hurts more now, but my surgeon gave me better pain killers for a bit, which helps haha. Luckily my massive sling combined with all of the side impact protection kept my arm from getting re-injured, which I'm pretty lucky for.

Good to hear, glad you made it outta that in one piece. I've admired Volvo cars for years, what model do you have?

I had an '08 S80 V8 haha. I loved the hell out of it so I was damn excited to see they had another at my local dealer, different ext colour, but the same interior and options. They were nice enough to put it on hold for me until my insurance goes through, so I won't have to hunt one down online.

Did the lady get charged with anything? Driving while dumbass? I love that you smashed her phone, stupid woman deserved it.

Yeah, reckless driving, distracted driving, vehicular assault and failure to yield at an intersection. My state throws the book at people who cause serious accidents while on the phone. She's unlikely to have a license for a year. I'll be at her hearing to testify and make her look even worse haha.
