No power at all, or does it start booting and shut down?

Boots up, shows the apple logo then just freezes there. I managed to get it to load in once then it wouldn't open ANYTHING I attempted to use. It then froze and shut itself off.

None, I've seen that before I know that's basically "You're fucked" this just seems like the computer is lagging something fierce. It crashed when I was playing a game after a possible hacker logged on. iunno if that's connected

well the ? means a corrupt HD -
A hacker hitting a mac is really rare....
My wife had similiar issues, hers was diagnosed with a faulty psu, it would boot sometimes, other times would just freeze, I thought that a faulty psu would just mean no power, but apparently not...
If new then your gunna have to either get it fixed under warranty or try reinstalling the os.
what model is it btw?

It's a macbook pro, the larger version.
I literally just got it back two days ago, they put a new keyboard in it and I was actually going to return it because the lights in the keyboard no longer work.
I managed to log back in and it's force updating EVERYTHING

I mean it literally booted, opened every single program and file I have and is updating everything at the same time. It's strange though, every time that computer bugs out this one does the exact same thing. That little beach ball of death shows up on one, it shows up on the other. It's kinda strange.

If I'm correct you can take it into a official apple store and have the genius bar people or what ever they call their techs now days look at it. I heard they run free diagnostics so you don't need to pay unless parts need replacing. That's what I've heard anyway
