I can't tell colors with similiar pigments apart, for example green/yellow, blue/purple, pink/red. Cousins used to tease me because I thought the Simpson's were green.
I thought nothing was really wrong during the whole thing, not like I couldn't see colors entirely. If I have problems pinpointing a color, I just ask someone to help me out. They usually laugh at my question, then quiz me on every color in the vicinity. I'm fine with it.
Oh, understandable. I dont know if they did it but when I was a kid, just like learning numbers, they would teach you the names of colors and such.
Anywho, how has being colorblind really impacted your life? And what career path are you going to? I know that artistic career paths/hobbies such as photography/art almost always consist of a grand element of color.
I suck at art and drawing, so that never was a career choice in my mind. Pediatrician is my choice in a future career, so I doubt I'll have any dilemmas with colors in that field.
And other than confusing colors, being colorblind hasn't really had a negative impact. If people test me on colors and are annoying me with it, I just answer everything with Purple and leave it at that.
Are you the only one in your family whom is color-blind? Like are any of your siblings color-blind? Did you genetically get it from someone of a past generation?
