Declined Give TF2 Admins autobalance immunity.

I have made many threads on this topic but Bottiger sees fit to keep us at the same unpaid level as players.

I have been playing most of today as I am COVID positive and no longer symptomatic I have a lot of time today after being bedridden for 8 days (literally). On my return to my favourite game, I am hit with something that has always been a problem to me.

I refuse to donate anymore to Skial because I have tried to improve this place but Bottiger refuses to listen to anything unless your name is Jermaphobe. So I simply stopped donating, but I still put my free time in to this place administrating, handling admin apps, player reports and ban appeals as often as I see them pop up. I don't have as much free time as other admins here, but I still claim what I can when I can.

One little thing I ask which is breaking my game recently, isn't to pay us volunteers, that'd be impossible and frankly I wouldn't want it. But, give us autobalance immunity. You've rejected this before citing that we have !swap, which instantly swaps us teams. However, this is becoming a regular theme in my game play. I used to use /swap, but it doesn't record them in chatlogs, so now I will use !swap so we have a record on how often my game play is being affected by autobalance.

I have now given up trying to play as I cannot play on my team with my regulars.

Now you might ask, why am I placing my self above players who are also being balanced? Well, I am not. I am simply asking for one little thing as a sort of payment for what I do for Skial and what I continue to do for Skial.

I main engineer, meaning I build my nest usually in the sewers (I am a sewer rat, you got me!). It's unreasonable and not feasible to expect me, and others who are the same, to play knowing we'll just get balanced.

I know you'll reject this, but please give me a reason why before you do.

I've played red for 10 years, I never intend to play blue.

It sounds selfish, I know how it sounds. But considering the work I've personally done here for over a year, and the work others continue to do here on behalf of Bottiger with no reward but quite frequently abuse thrown at us, I feel autobalance immunity would be a sound "thank you". We really don't get much in the ways of thank you's and I don't think I'm asking for the world, to be able to play in between handling reports, in which I have to give up my game to handle anyway.

It's also fun to play with them as you have been doing for 10 years. I understand the point of your posts that being on either team isn't bad or important. But that is your opinion, but in reality, everyone hates being autobalanced. The difference is I work for Skial and I am not asking for much/anything other than to give the small group (under 20 of us) autobalance immunity when we play, which, more than half do not play, hardly a detriment.

Honestly, admins don't get enough recognition for the bullshit they put up with each and every day.

The fact that they do all this work for free, is absolutely mind boggling.

They always have to deal with retards that go on tantrums saying they're going to hang themselves just because they can't play anymore, and a million cheaters who think they are as dumb as a box of rocks, claiming they didn't cheat or admins are abusing.

This is a very small but very welcome change to the servers, admins shouldn't have to keep donating to keep from autobalancing, when they are literally volunteering their time and effort in helping the servers.

Hope you get into 100% health soon @Xantam coronavirus is a shit disease.

Isn't there an autobalance immunity for contributors/donators? And there isn't one for admins? the fuck

-1 Admins only resposibility is to handle reports, each and every one of them volunteered and took on the role, knowing the only perk is that they get to join full servers.
You know as well as I do, that you could handle just one report a month and it would still keep you admin.
Additionaly, the fact that you choose not to donate anymore, that by your own admission is because you are pissed at Bottiger, and you just want to always play on the red team is not a good enough reason in my eyes.

I would prefer to be able to say we aren’t getting special privileges in exchange for volunteering our time tbh. Not that the fact has ever gotten us much goodwill from r/tf2 or elsewhere.
