I've heard from a few players on VSH EU, that the spikes on one part of the Egyptyspot map are a bit overpowered since they are easily camp-able and insta kill the hale if he doesn't get his position right (or pyros airblast the hale back, especially when there's more than 1). Its the spot where you need to crouch through a tunnel to reach a room which has spikes in between.

I feel that the spikes should be removed/disabled since they are rather annoying to deal with especially when the last player is camping in that room. There is no other way into that room so the only option really is to cap or try your luck. By disabling the spikes, it allows the hale less pressure no matter the skill level to deal with anyone in there since there's less of a threat posed by the entry into the room. Granted, there will be strategies to compensate for this, but that's another issue in itself. I have some knowledge of mapping so disabling the spikes would take me a very short period of time if the vote is positive.

Oh yes, I would vote it higher if I could go over +1.

+1

It's litteraly not fair for the hale.
The damage is RNG'd and most of the time it's just an instant kill regardless of health.
Since it's a crouch area, it's super easy to camp for Pyro's aswell.

Removing the spike trap in that room will actually make it fair for the hale while still being an effective spot.

I don't stand with the argument of completely removing them, because otherwise that room would be pointless, it would just be any other room with a crouching corridor leading to it.
Yes, for campers it is extremely frustrating for the hale, as having a subversive heavy medic combo, pyro or even engineer in there can be near impossible to win without being crushed by the semi pot-luck spikes.
What I do suggest though, is removing one or two of the spikes, or enlarging the gaps between them. It's almost impossible to dodge the spikes, even when crouched parallel to the gaps.
If people are camping, shoot through the window if you are CBS or Trolldier, if not, simply rage and crawl through. You have no rage? Well tango cierra, thats your problem. That room is all about timing and keeping your eye on it, but indeed is yearning for a nerf of some sort.

Would there be more agreement if only some of the spikes are removed then, like one or two removed so that theres more room to stay in between the remaining spikes?

I can live with that.

Either 1 spike at the center.
or 2 spikes one close to the start of the room and one at the end with enough distance for the hale to stay in.

Neither a -1 or +1 but if it's in hales health range he can just rage, it should partially be the hales fault for letting people set up there when it's not a hot zone like the cabinets on toys where you have at least 50% of the team with a lot of knock back or pyros.

What if it's a Trolldier, he can't rage.
What if at the start of the round, the hale kept getting flung with knockback being unable to kill the RED's going for the room? (Me every round)

That's litreally word for word of what i suggested. . .

There's something called a shotgun, and if you dare to think about the flip side, theres also something called !setboss, where you can depart from playing Trolldier if it's too much for you.

Sometimes RED can get to that room faster than Hale can, so in that case theres nothing you can do about it. In addition, you use your mic extremely frequently which immedietely draws players attention towards you. Especially if you complain about certain things, humans will do the irksome task of trying to annoy you even further. In this case, complaining about the knockback while trying to get into the spike room. Basically, if you show your weaknesses via mic, people are pretty much just going to want to amplify the pain even further. Yes, it's annoying and cruel. You're pretty much treading on your own tail. :/
