I seriously do not understand this. Please explain. The entire server just rtv’d it and they refuse to explain why.

I personally really like the map, but it's overplayed, and really difficult for the humans. This is because the humans can't catch a break from the zombies (Especially the second and third part), and it usually takes a long time just to finish a part of the map. Overall, it just gets frustrating.

It is the best map we have so it gets overplayed. And it is really long. If you play on the server a lot then you'd probably get bored of it.

i have played santassination on another server and it's actually not that hard when you have 32 players on it. It's really easy and since skial are kinda "recent" to zombies if you would like to know the best defensive classes are Heavy and phlog pyro and for the heavies not feel slow you should use the gloves or running urgently to not feel slow.

Literally everyone goes demoknight though due to exploit spots and plague power up

Currently, it is filled with exploits that people use to make the game unfun and unfair for zombies. These exploits include being able to use trimping, which is exploitation of the source engine's physics, to get to otherwise unreachable spots. These spots are all unreachable in the CS:GO, which this map was originally from. The Mannpower powerups are extremely unbalanced, and can cause game-breaking and unfair rounds for zombies. Things like the plague powerup, when put in the hands of someone capable, can easily turn any round COMPLETELY around in favor of the humans when, that round, in under any other circumstance, would be unwinnable. You are able to literally beat the entire map by yourself as a demoknight with a strong enough powerup. I have done this myself several times. Some of the instructions given on how to complete certain objectives are extremely vague, leading to people not doing what they are supposed to because they have no idea how to play the map, and making progression through the map slow to a crawl. There are spots in certain stages where you can stay without being teleported ahead with the zombies to force progression. And so, if everyone on the humans team dies except for the one person who chose to stay behind, the server has to voteslay in order to kill that person without an admin being present. I believe that if most of these problems/glitches above are fixed, the map will not be nearly as popular due to the fact that this map is the only one on the server where issues like these are magnified to such levels, and that many people enjoy this map solely because they can exploit these issues. This map is only popular mainly due to the following reasons: it is long, unique(much more different than any other map on the server), has "funny memes" in it, provides some sort of a challenge, moreso than other maps, and it allows you to do things that you can't do to such an extreme on any other map. For being the "best map" on the server, it has a ridiculous amount of problems with it and far more so than any other map.

There is no other map on the server that is nearly as unbalanced and has as many exploits in it as santassination does.

Tbh I heard that the mapper apparently gave skial the map with all the bugs intact and bottiger/admins asked the mapper to fix them and the mapper refused and left us with a broken map. I do not know if the mapper is the same person who created the original csgo version though or if it was just a guy who put the port forward.

In my opinion, it's honestly just not a fun map to play on if you're a zombie. The worst cases of these are with the map exploits giving way too much power to the humans and turning the zombies into a band of sitting ducks, not to mention the powerups turning rounds that should've gone in favor of one team into a near impossible comeback for the other. Really just poor balancing, and it makes for a map that you will almost always see get rtv'd

The guy who left us with all the bugs is in fact the guy who ported it.

It has now come to my attention that luffaren, the original csgo mapper, hates and is upset about the tf2 version as it was ported without perms and is broken. I’m starting to think that someone should contact the original mapper so he can make an official tf2 version of the map, made easier and fixed (as csgo allows 50+ players on a server)
