These recent changes on VSH are not thoughtful. These changes are completely killing the community and players are blaming VSH2 when these changes are just coming from bot.

When you are actually choosing to change every pillar there's a problem.

  • You took the personal choice to nerf medics because you felt like medic was strong yet there's a lot of medic main playing on skial because skial used to be different with these changes on medics.

Playing medic on Skial / BlackWonder / Panda wasn't the same thing but with all these changes there's nothing specific for the medics on skial so why any medic would like to stay on here ? And we already talked about why you felt medic is strong you basically said medic does too much damage blablabla when in reality if as a medic I heal someone doing 8k damage I will have 8k damage too but the hale won't lose 16k hp.

  • Pyro changes, pyro needed a nerf but as always you are going to far literally killing the class making it unplayable. So we can say bye to the pyro players they probably already went on panda / blackwonder too.

  • Weightdown explosion nothing to say about it, you are complaing that jumps are too op but you are adding an explosion on weightdown ? it doesn't make any sense.

Skial's message became completly unclear one day you are saying that hales are op whatever one day later you ask nergal the cvar to nerf hale jumps. Changing the hale hp formula is so stupid it always been balanced so I don't see why we have to touch that too.

As Nergal said and I agree with him " vsh/ff2/bossmode watever isn't something you can balance either one side will be slightly OP or the other".

If you can't undle the freedom that VSH2 gives and you can't be wise enough to don't change everything every minute you can go back to VSH 1.55 for that silly reason.

You already lost to much good players make the good choice, player's rather play on an "unbalanced" gamemode than not having fun.

I think medics have become too shitty, when playing solo. You basically can't really do anything once your uber runs out.
Pyro changes are justified, because nobody likes pyros.
Weighdown explosion, what the actual fuck is that? Hale is OP as fuck, especially HHH. He's just climbing, using weighdown, climbing, using weighdown and so on, not to mention his teleport spam.
Hale and Red wins are not supposed to be 50/50, veeery simple.

Honestly at this point after getting some admins feedbacks, good players, feedback we should just remove VSH2 idk. It just went so far that it becomes hell. If we can't undle the freedom that VSH2 gives and we have to touch everything it's useless to use it.

I don't see the point of trying to balance Saxton Hale, Last time this happened no one liked it.

Lost a lot of fun people on the EU servers.

The only thing I know that was stupid in the previous version was the slow demoman got when he lost his shield.

And the two controversial ones, sniper and pyro. They are both frustrating to play against if they know what they're doing. Pyro is easier to get with rage and sniper is almost impossible to get if there are a
lot of players trying to stop or distract you. I'd suggest just having class limits on these.

I also saw some arguments about the medic. Honestly let those who are good at medic outplay the hale, It doesn't happen that often since most of the times they get raged anyway as usual.

Being hale was never intended to be easy, you get mad respect for doing well as hale without using the handicap rage ability.

I've been constantly playing Saxton Hale since late 2014 and trying to balance the gamemode because the winrate isn't 50/50 is pretty foolish. People have mastered this gamemode. People know how to outplay the hale by now. There's a reason why people prefer VSH over FF2, you need to actually use your brain on VSH.

i usually don't complain about anything on skial forums but i have to... skial vsh used to be good, different and special. the old update was balanced and much fun to play, now its just another vsh server(barely no diferrence between panda and skial). please just bring back our old vsh mode before skial vsh become history :sob:

It went down to rank 9 before I started making balance changes. People left because of Halloween and VSH2 missing a lot of 1.55 mechanics. Not because of my balance changes.

It was not a personal choice. I only noticed it because people were complaining about it and I noticed that yes, hale can't kill a lot of players because they get overhealed. It took 4 hits to kill a demo or heavy.... The hale can only land 2 hits before someone airblasts him away, then the medic reheals the demo and heavy again. Also stock 1.55 does not have double overheal. That's the only change that was made to medic. I used to buff the medic crossbow to compensate but people whined about that.

Everyone was asking for airblast nerf. That idea didn't come out of me but from listening to players like you. That's literally the only thing that has been changed with pyro.

I'm not sure why you think that? Super jump is completely different from weighdown. People hardly ever use weighdown. You can only use weighdown when you are in the air for 3 seconds which means humans have plenty of time to run away and they have built a strong defense. It also means that you are probably being pushed away from the players so you are not likely to land in a good position to kill everyone when you finally touch the ground.

As we talked on the discord chat. I think VSH2 is just killing the community, the admins are thinking the same way, a big part of the community is thinking the same way now good luck if you don't want any changes.

I'm curious on why people say pyro is unplayable or needs to be fixed because of a 'nerf'. No one has been able to give me a good reason why other than they can't airblast spam.

Putting a cooldow on airblast makes the dragon fury even stronger and delete every other gameplay than playing with dragon fury / gas passer.
