Will you get mad if you lose admin?:
I will not for I will understand that I didn't do my job as requested.
How do you ban yourself using your own SteamID?:
sm_ban "U:1:273395704" 30 "obvious aimbot"
Any other reason you should be admin:
I've been on Skial Trade for a long time, I started playing when the Minecraft Trade server was still up and really was a decent player, I wouldn't get toxic nor throw a fit if someone killed me. I understand each rule in the book and treat Admins with the utmost respect for the extra weight on their shoulders to make sure the server is fun and safe.

With Admin powers I want to make sure that our trade server stays clean while not abusing the powers.

I am usually on the server in the afternoon/ evening, and sometimes morning.

I love these servers, and hope to keep it as the server that I grew up with.

You say you want to keep the trade server clean, but have you ever reported someone that is rule breaking (I'm sure you've seen someone) outside of the forums? I see no reports here on the forums at least.

I haven't any reports but I've vote muted a few people spamming music. I have never felt any need to report someone because it rarely comes up.

Do you think, looking back, vote muting them was the right thing to do?
It's probably the only thing I could do, Reporting never came up to me unless there is a hacker which I recall that once I did which was on the old Minecraft server.

EDIT: I didn't understand the report part. No I've never reported on here, I only recently joined the forum but I've been in-game for a long time.

Reporting is not a requirement to do an admin app, but I personally value them a lot since they show someone's knowledge of the rules and that they want to, as you said, keep the servers clean. And you only remember to do so when there's a hacker on the mc server???

Also votemuting voice spammers was probably the only thing you could do? You can always report someone, I'd suggest you learn how to do that even in the forums, apart from in-game/directly talking to an admin. The punishment would be longer and would scale if they did it again, which might've been a good lesson for them in case they didn't learn.

sorry gurl but I must say -1

Not giving -1 or +1 but personally I disagree with your reasoning for -1. Now I agree with reporting people first before making an admin app, as not only would it show you cared about cleaning up Skial servers of rule breakers, it would probably make you more trustworthy knowing what the rules are.
However, this isn't a requirement so there's no reason to -1 just because of not making reports.

I've always explained to players who want to get rid of a cheater / spammer / etc. to use !report, let's say there's a hacker named Dragontamer that everyone agrees is blatantly aimboting, you can either use !votemenu to kick the player for 30 mins or use !report so someone in power like an admin can come on and perm ban the guy. Which is the better option?

Not to say !votemenu is useless, but you want these hackers gone for good not just gone for 30 mins :).

He's talking about reporting through the forums with evidence and such, not using the !report command, which honestly is a useless command. I don't understand what you're trying to say.

Wait the !report command in game is useless? It starts a report online for an admin to see and usually gets one in game to deal with whomever the report was about, if that's a useless command I guess I won't report anyone else again :mask:

You applying for admin but don't think !report is a useful command?

!report is indeed pretty useless when you'd still have to go onto the forum and post evidence and such, instead of just going straight to the forum and making the report.in the first place.

If the report is regarding racism in the player's chat log or vote abuse, both we are able to easily track using stats, then it does serve a purpose.

Bot reports filed for aimbot, racism in voice, mic spam, friendlying, and griefing are only useful for alerts that a user might be breaking the rules and admins should go on that server and observe the situation.

Yeah, but even so reporting when someone is hacking so an admin could join would still be kind of useless as the hacker then would have a chance to turn it off or leave.

So evidence is a definently a must and therefore you'd have to go to the forum anyways

Ah yes, I worded my sentence wrong. As the others have stated above, the report command is not really useful if there's someone who's cheating/griefing, etc. However, if they are being racist over chat and such then the report does work. If anything it does sort of work as a !calladmin command.
The reason I mainly called it useless though, is because you need multiple people to pass the report, which at least for me, rarely ever happened and I just got yelled at by the whole server instead.

I actually had an issue with this today, there was a kid in-game today and was spamming voice chat and one little mute couldn't stop him, then I escalated to reporting him but that failed because none voted for it.

He left before anything could happen.

This is why I want to be an admin, because of how long and often I play, people won't be waiting for an admin to just show up and put a more permanent option on the spammer.

I think what people are trying to tell you is that in instances like this one, it would be nice if you showed initiative with demo recording and evidence gathering with reports that require it, not just votemenu usage.
As an admin, you will need to gather evidence a lot of times even if you have ban powers.

I think the main reason people want potential admins to file reports is to show they know how to screenshot/demo/record evidence. While its not nessacary because you can learn it, it shows you know what your doing if you receive admin (which they need to collect evidence before issuing a ban/mute etc.)
Going to give a +0 on the app.
