Experiencing high ping when connecting to valve servers?
Hey all, I've been playing this game for several years but have run into a strange problem recently..... Whenever I connect to a valve server my ping skyrockets. Regardless of the game, (Tested with CSGO as well) I get at best 90 ping, but normally its in the 140-160 range. This sounds just like a regional thing, but I can assure you its not. I'm from the Cleveland area and am getting over 100 ping to Virginia servers, so I'm pretty sure that something isn't right.
Interestingly enough, I have 0 issues when connecting to community TF2 servers. Rocket jumping, Turbine DM, hightower, and even those cancer x10 skial servers all have a normal, ~30-40 ping for me. I've been trying to solve this issue for months now and to no avail, its making it hard for me to enjoy my favorite game. :(
Does anyone have any clue what could be causing this? I'm kind of at the end of my rope here
