As a returning player, what the fuck is up with casual matchmaking?
Every game I get into is *horrendous*. Either we stomp, or we get stomped. Everyone leaves after every game, so you have to go into matchmaking again. I oftentimes join games that have no players, or are nearly over. Getting from the end of one match to the start of the next takes ages.

I'm frankly not interested in competitive, but I'm also not interested in totally throw-away casual games. Is the game just not suited for semi-tryhard casual matches anymore?

I used to spend hours on skial payload servers, and I loved it. Maybe I'm viewing things through rose-tinted glasses, but the game just doesn't feel the same.

Somewhat Threatening Sniper
Honestly, I can see the point. It's always been somewhat the same, but as the community ages and more and more emphasise is placed on casual (e.g when a few years ago they disabled custom servers), things seem to become more serious.

I honestly wish Valve gave more emphasise to the semi-tryhards, which perhaps make the most of the community.

Spectacularly Lethal Soldier
I concur. Indeed, it's quite the exasperating & infuriating experience
to see an exceeding number of people exiting after every round.

Or, seeing unbalance in the opposing teams.

Perhaps, the developers will fix the matchmaking bugs in the meantime.

I'm not sure if you realize this, but this is a post from reddit. The original author won't see you posting here.
