I was actually uploading the video of the incident which took a hot minute to upload when you were posting this. That was why I had logged off was to submit the report.
As I've mentioned above, I haven't been on the forums for very long. Normally I'd just go through the console and submit a report.
As far as the "wanting to score brownie points", that seems to be a damned if I do, damned if I don't scenario. Since reports were emphasized on so much, I'm making an effort to submit reports. I'm chastised because I don't make reports, yet when I DO start submitting, I'm chastised for trying to fluff up my resume', so to speak.
So, my choice is "Dammit, I will", and I'll continue to submit reports to Skial directly. Whether this application is approved or not, it's at least been a learning experience.
Absolutely. I'd classify toxic behavior as any player threatens another with physical violence i.e "I'm going to come to your house and murder you, bitch", starts using racial epithets, or threatens doxxing. To me. those are the majority of what I'd consider toxic.
That’s not against the rules, therefore you’re telling us that if you became admin, you would immediately start punishing people who aren’t breaking the rules.
You’ve submitted 2 reports, both of which were at least partially invalid.
This application is being marked improve, as it rightfully should've been from when I had placed it the first time. I had discussed your application with several admins over the past 24 hours as my first marking of the application was deemed unwarranted by Luke and RM, both of which have failed to provide me with some good reason as to why this application is being left open. I'm going to run down everything that was discussed without sharing who said what (in private):
- Presence in other game-modes is not a requirement so I was wrong there
- My judgement of your community presence was invalid simply because it was based on chat logs alone so once again, I was wrong
- As Courtney mentioned above, there is no 2nd chance for getting the ban command right. Either you get it right or you don't. Your 2nd chance is any future applications you make, not the current one. We have never given an applicant a second chance to answer the ban command question correctly so I don't know why Luke decided it was right to give you a second chance. We use the question as a filter because it's extremely easy as you are not only given the format when you apply but you can simply review any "Approved" application to see their format and just substitute your Steam3ID with their's
- The application is extremely low effort. If I were to summarize your reasoning for admin, it's simply "I like Skial, I've friends here, I wanna ban people for breaking the rules, give me admin". Of course, I know you don't mean it that way but if you've 1500+ hours on Skial, it shouldn't be too hard to work-up a reasoning to become admin besides that. In addition, we ask for the timezone in the application process which, even as I'm posting this, you still haven't told us.
- I'm very glad you took to heart the recommendation I made regarding making reports. It's not required for an applicant but it leaves a good idea of how well you know the rules and how dedicated you are to helping Skial. Based on the 2 reports you've made, one was wrong completely and the other was wrong because we don't punish people for threats like that. This has shown the team that you do not have a proper understanding of the rules and would not be able to act properly when the time comes
- This still puzzles me and I don't think you'll have justification for this. How is it possible that you were not aware of the forums or report system until recently? Skial makes it very clear that the report system exists and I'm 100% certain in your 1500+ hours, you would've easily seen that the "!report" command has been used by a regular. In addition, Skial's logo at the bottom says "skial.com" and we advertise our forums in automated chat cycles, there's no way for you to miss that we have a forum unless
- You have chat disabled, a big no-no for any admin coming to the team
- You've simply missed it, which would be very astonishing for someone with 1500+ hours
- You hadn't clued in that the only way for Skial to keep our servers maintained is through reports received, which would need to go somewhere, like a forum.
If you want to shit talk other admins, I suggest doing it elsewhere. The application was reopened not because any admins support Oprah, but because it had positive signs that it deserved a chance to see where it went. As we all quickly saw, it went negatively for her. It doesn't matter if you want it, as stated before countless times by me, Courtney, and Sargent, as well as pretty much any decision on an admin application on the past, she does not fulfill the basic requirements to be an admin. Your argument here would make more sense if she was disqualified further in the application, but this is not the case as it was doomed from the start.
Jew is not a racial slur, and is not covered by the Skial rules.
Although donating is seen as being favorable in admin applications, it doesn't have any applications on Skial outside of it. Paying more for a server does not give you more power, actual or symbolic.
Also, the application is marked improve, which I expect to stay. I recommend the admins lock this thread.
So lets answer your comments as it reflects issue with the applicaiton, ill try and make sense of what was written.
1. You or oprah make a report complaining about the use jew? if you feel strongly about this demo or report them, Jew on its own is not covered if he said "put all jews in the oven" then it would be more against the rules. Also i am playing not sitting in spectator is san's translation is right.
2. Its called enforcing the rules and if you read the appeals i silenced others for other racial slurs.
3. I was on there quite often and not scared of anyone on there, no need to be agressive.
4. i donate about $50 every cycle and have done for the last 4 years which is where i get most of my 6200 gametime hours.
5. On top of the item listed on 4 i also donate my free time to patrol the servers and enforce rules so they are enjoyable to most of the players which would add up to 50 + $20x 6 to 20 hours i spend on skial on average a week over a year if i was to bill bottiger at my work rate.
Can one of the mods lock this post before it becomes a troll fest, Or anyone wishing to post to support or deny the app

CourtSnort you should read the rules
- doxxing is listed under the "permanent bans" section in the AdminInfo posting (Posting personal information without consent)
- racial epitats is clearly discussing (rules posting)
- threatening physical harm (unless its against Skial and their servers) isn't explicitly called out but this is where 'having a good heart" and having empathy for the other players (ridiculed by you earlier) is important, its apparent you don't understand it so I won't argue it further.
I do hope that you have some experiences where you get to learn more about how to deal with toxic behavior and how to do deal with it (and hopefully avoid doing more of it here).
p.s. its odd that "threatening physical harm" is against the rules only when targeted at Skial. It seems self-evident that this is toxic in nature and should warrant banning if it becomes excessive. I suggest the admins consider adding this to bannable offenses.

I hate "toxic rules" because banning for what is deemed "toxic" is completely subjective. I consider peoples insults and shit talk to be 100% meaningless. I don't care how "toxic" someone tries to be. Seemingly this is becoming more then normal though.
