Problem solved. Can't update/launch TF2

So I tried to go into TF2 today to watch a few demos and after the update "finishes," I get this error

I really don't understand what this means, and reverifying the game cache didn't help anything.

EDIT: After uninstalling/reinstalling the game and then restarting Steam, everything seems to be working.

It's possible an error occurred during the download or installation of the update.

Reinstalling the game would more than likely fix the issue but that would probably take awhile.

Perhaps try removing the file that gives the error first, and then re-verifying.
