I believe with your consistency and friendliness, giving you another shot at questions would be appropriate. Here we go.
  1. A guy comes into a server and starts building mini sentries right at spawn on Upward and the team tells him they're useless and he should move them up. He ignores and refuses to move them. If he is breaking the rules, this would be his second offence, how do you proceed?
  2. Some nerd comes on to the server and starts playing music, the server requests a song change and he proceeds to change it to the requested song. If he is breaking the rules, this would be his third offence, how do you proceed?

1: I feel as though it would be considered "griefing" as he is refusing to assist his team mates, and his sentry being at spawn is not helping his team advance in any shape or form. If his first violation was for the same offence, I would ban him using sm_ban "#hisID" 4320 "griefing" otherwise I feel as though he should only receive a 24 hour ban if his prior offence was not for griefing.

2: Some nerd would not be breaking any rules, as it states "Whether music over voice chat is spam will be left to a server vote.". If anyone wishes not to hear him, I would direct them towards the mute function by pressing the Esc key, clicking the ear icon, selecting their name and pressing the mute button.

Your second answer is correct but your first is not 100% correct. His mini sentry might be useless but it's not preventing the team from pushing. On the other end of the spectrum, if he's doing nothing but building minis at spawn, this can be considered friendlying or "hogging a player slot". The question is a bit obscure so I'll let it slide. I'm certain you understand that that rule about impacting your team only applies if they are literally preventing them from pushing (teleporters that go backwards, blocking a sniper's view etc.) otherwise it is considered as friendlying / wasting a player slot / bypassing afk manager.

Yeah I understand it now. I was overthinking it bit as that rule wasn't too clear to me but now I get it :P

Thanks for the clarification!

He could be building the mini sentry at spawn to stop jumping demos/demoknights or scouts from coming back and destroying teles. The way it was worded left room for interpretation, but SY explained that.

You have made a rather large error (easily avoided if you read everything you were supposed to) somewhere in your app, we will not tell you where it is.

If you can figure it out, we'll make you admin.

The ban example which should read

sm_ban "#[U:1:99413795]" 30 "obvious aimbot"

I also noticed awhile ago the time isn't exactly specific and I tried to edit it but wasn't able too. For a more specific answer

I honestly have some reservations about this application/candidate.

First off, missing the ban question rings an alarm in my head, especially because the way you got your Steam ID makes no sense. When ly_dee asked you how you made that mistake, you said
I originally chose a random steam ID just as a placement until I became unlazy and looked mine up but had forgot to replace it :\
But the ID wasn't random, as she pointed out right after. You then said
Yeah, I suppose so. I don't really know why either. I was probably tired and not really paying attention. Also keep in mind I didn't do entire app in one day, I saved it as a draft and continued on it the next morning.
So I'm not really understanding why you made the decisions you made. Laziness isn't really a good trait to have, and taking two days to fill out the application and still making that mistake doesn't make sense, since most successful applicants probably took less than 15 minutes to finalize and submit their application without errors, whereas you took several months to fix this mistake and only when someone else pointed it out.

In addition to that error, you also don't seem to be aware of some of the rules of the Skial servers, as evidenced by two of your reports.

We don't ban people for simply having an item like that in their backpack, yet you linked their backpack profile instead of a screenshot of them actually using the item in game. We can't preemptively ban people, and while for all intents and purposes they probably WERE using those items on the server, we can't tell because you never showed a screenshot.

The last issue I have is with your answers to some of the admin questions Sargent and Dave asked you earlier, showing you don't quite understand how standard procedure is followed. On the last set of questions, you stated
1: I feel as though it would be considered "griefing" as he is refusing to assist his team mates, and his sentry being at spawn is not helping his team advance in any shape or form. That's not how we ban people. Even if the previous offense was unrelated, the priors stack and he would get the 3 day ban.

The previous set of questions asked by Dave was also very incorrect (as he pointed out earlier) and strays from the way we deal with punishments.
I would explain to the two "kids" that what they're doing is considered griefing (by refusing to heal team members) and is against the rules. If they continued, I would issue a 30 minute ban for griefing using the commands sm_ban "#[U:1:89984258]" 30 "Griefing" and sm_ban "#[U:1:98790638]" 30 "Griefing" however if shoo's prior ban was for the same offense, I would extend the ban for another 24 hours.

From there (assuming they're still on the server) I would encourage all players who don't wish to hear them to mute them themselves by either esc>mute icon or /ignore playername (after explaining that /ignore will also mute their chat) as they have the right to use the mic just like everyone else as long as they're not mic spamming.

I would then first check TheCannibalAlex's stats to see if he has any previous offences for vote spam. If not, I would explain to him what he's doing is considered vote spam as they have not broken any rules by talking and would direct him towards the mute option where he may personally mute whoever he pleases. If I find that he has prior vote spam offences, I will gag him with a duration based on what his prior offences display (we'll say 24 hours) using sm_gag "#[U:1:241967812]" 1440 "votespam"
1.) They weren't breaking any rules to start off with
2.) 30 minutes is only used in the sample question you get when you submit the application/votemenu option
3.) Ban length for a second offense is 3 days, not 1 day

For these reasons, I have to -1.

First off, It didn't take two days to write the application. I started it during the late night, and finished it up in the morning and then posted

Secondly for the reports, they weren't simply because they were in their backpack. They had them out in display. I have screen shots if you'd like to see them, as I'm sure you will.

Thirdly, yes I did the steamID wrong. I attempted to fix it, however I am unable to edit my application, as stated above. I thought I had done it randomly but apparently I had not. I apologize as I'm not perfect.

I'm also curious as to how you expect me to suddenly know exactly how every rule breaker's consequence should be. I've never been an admin on this server, so I don't know the exact consequences, merely what is shown on a page with vague details. I was assuming once one is accepted as an admin, they're given more detail in how consequences are dulled out.

As for the ban lengths, that had already been solved. He already explained that to me, so there's no need for you too as well.

And finally, anyone spending only 15 minutes on an admin application obviously isn't putting enough attention into it. I can guarantee you they spent more than that just looking it over and such.

You didn't specify so I just assumed based on what you already replied with.

Secondly for the reports, they weren't simply because they were in their backpack. They had them out in display. I have screen shots if you'd like to see them, as I'm sure you will.

It's a little late now considering their bans have expired, but yes in the future the screenshots should always be used as evidence because they can change their profile to private and the backpack link is inaccessible.

Thirdly, yes I did the steamID wrong. I attempted to fix it, however I am unable to edit my application, as stated above. I thought I had done it randomly but apparently I had not. I apologize as I'm not perfect.

You could have just made a reply to this application saying "I made a mistake in the ban question, what I meant to type was ___." Right now it just seems like you didn't notice until Bottiger pointed it out.

It's literally spelled out on the admin info pinned message on the forums. The test questions are not very hard and basically just ask to make sure you know what standard ban lengths are (which is featured on the admin info thread) and what is/isn't against the rules (also featured on the same thread).

And finally, anyone spending only 15 minutes on an admin application obviously isn't putting enough attention into it. I can guarantee you they spent more than that just looking it over and such.

Considering you took much longer than 15 minutes finalizing your admin application and still messed up, it doesn't matter how long someone spends on an application. Either they get the information down or they don't. I took ten minutes to write and double-check mine, as I'm sure many other admins did as well.

I will make sure to include screen shots in the future when dealing with these reports, once again, I was already corrected on this, but thank you.

Yes, but I had eventually given up after being unable to edit it and figured nobody would make that big of a deal about it, I was wrong. I apologize.

Again, as stated when these questions were asked, I had overlooked the ban durations. I have since been corrected, but thank you again.

Not to put anyone on the spotlight, but several accepted admin applications do have errors on them. Perhaps not the app itself, but they have gotten a few of the questions wrong. What I'm saying here is people make mistakes, but they learn from them. I have since learned from my mistakes, and if you'd like, you can ask me another set of questions if you feel you have too.
