Banned for using a Wireless USB Adapter.

Details:

So I play TF2 on a laptop that I own, but today when I bought this 150Mbps Wireless USB adapter and joined a skial server it said Disconnected: "Proxy IP, Apeal at skial.com" however I have over 500+ hours on TF2, my profile is public and the adapter is brand new, so no hackers could have ever used it I have no idea what is wrong I would be happy if I could get some answers
