Thanks for updating VSH to the newest version, it fixed spys' DR and some other issues. However, currently medics do not overheal themselves as they used to in previous versions. I think Skial already had a revision on this a few months back.

Currently most VSH servers do have this feature (with more or less overheal) and I would like to +1 to have it back.

EDIT: Jumping with pocket is also removed, any sort like pyros, soldiers, demos, etc :/

so we need the quickfix attributes back and overheals from uber too
 
+1 i think they should have the pcoket jupming back and the over heal makes it more balanced for medics.

According to the Saxton Hale page these were the changes made since the update. I don't see anything about removing overheal.

* Removed quick-fix attribute from mediguns.
* OVERRIDE_MEDIGUNS_ON is now on by default. Mediguns will simply have their stats replaced instead of a custom medigun replacement.

I assume the current saxton hale maintainer had a good reason to make these changes.
 
I will add though, the current maintainer listens to a lot of people who usually complain about stuff being "O.P" when it's usually not. The original makers put it there because otherwise medi-gun is next to useless with having just the stock overheal. And quickfix attributes were never too O.P, since you couldn't really direct yourself and had to be healing a soldier or demo to jump. It was only really useful on maps like military_area, and even then it's not like they could go anywhere. I know of course it's the VSH update and not you who's done it. But I just find it ashame these medigun attribues have been changed with the apart-from-that-issue nice update.
 
I just went in the server and checked both medigun and quickfix and they both overhealed.

Oh wait you mean the medic overheals himself at the same time?

I just looked through the code and I could not find anything related to that. The only difference I can see is that they set lunchbox adds minicrits to 2.

Yeah, the overheal the medic receives during the uber comes from the quick-fix uber.
 
Since we're on about the update, I think it would be worth noting that a lot of the goomba stomps are not registering. Is that something you can fix? Or maybe you have an old version of goomba stomp? Whatever it is it's happening more often now.

The quick-fix attributes were the ones that allowed medics to self heal/overheal themselves while deploying uber (without changing weapons). Cream Tea is right, while they seem to be testing new ways to balance the game, the new builds have a tendency to go back and forward and in Skial's server and with it's current map rotation I think it wouldn't be badly recieved to use the quickfix attributes again. We often play maps like weaponsdepot where if players fell into the water, they could be saved or aided by a medic with uber, which doesn't work anymore because of no self healing (and no one like dying on the water on weaponsdepot). The uber doesn't flash anymore while ending for some reason which makes players unaware when it's gonna end anymore, etc.

So far I have seen other players miss the old features and haven't seen anyone vouching for the new changes. Is it possible to get the QF attributes back, as how goomba was fixed?
 
I already added the lunchbox adds minicrits attribute back to the medigun. If that didn't fix it I have no idea how to fix it. It is also an issue if we keep having to maintain a lot of extra changes every time we need to update saxton hale.

And it doesn't have anything to do with how goomba was fixed. I updated the goomba plugin because the new version now interfaces with the plugin instead of being separately configured.
