TF2 Isn't Letting Me Craft Hats

There I was. In the crafting menu while waiting to respawn on a Skial deathrun server (/r/hailcorporate). When SUDDENLY, after putting in my 3 refined metal and hitting and hitting craft..
**CRAFTING FAILED: NO MATCHING BLUEPRINT.**
 
I'm debating if God is real or if this is all a simulation. I even tried the custom blueprint, and, to my horror, same results. Please help me, I'm considering ending my pitiful life.
