The new update seems to have turned this into TF:GO, so ghosting is now stupidly easy with the wallhack they've made. I know people could still talk through skype, steam chat, or whatever, but this will at least stop the fastest method.

I'm well aware ghosting is already bannable, but it's likely to be way more widespread, so I think this is needed.

Dude there are private mumble servers this would be useless. Like all your suggestions are about stuff on 2fort and jailbreak. Stuff that is pointless and a waste of time to implement. Think about the game as whole and how it is played before thinking something needs to be changed.

I don't know about useless, in fact ghosting might be the least problem with this. Someone could in fact even load a second client, put it in spectate and wallhack while playing. If they could run it through a non recognized proxy for a new IP it would connect.

There's no rule against ghosting outside of Jailbreak
I figured that ghosting stood under the rule of harming your team. But I guess since you're not on a team, it's fine since you're just harming individual players?

Ghosting if you're in a team is basically an advantage to your team, since you're giving it intel on the other team.

On VSH and JB ghosting is different.
The point of ghosting there is to quickly end a round, usually.

Half of my chat is when I am dead. I don't think the benefits outweigh the downsides in this case. I don't even know the button to turn on the x-ray because all my binds are weird, and people could see player locations even before the update just by cycling to them. Ghosting is pretty rare from what I have seen, and it is usually taken care of immediately.

You can't ghost if you're on a team. Let's say you're in a hiding spot waiting to backcap a point, and someone in spectate tells the entire server where you are; that person in spectate is harming your team. I don't think anybody can justify that being right.

You can spectate / watch certain map "observer points" while dead, without going on spectate.
It's basic team communication. No such thing as ghosting on regular TF2 servers.
