Actually, Winter Valley is still being played a lot, I've seen it a lot more than a lot of other maps at this point like school run, walkway, r60d and even Lazytown, which was one of the most popular maps a while back. Not to mention that Dust and Manor are universally hated by a large portion...

Because the map still hasn't been confirmed or denied, let me just add another reason. Yes, this is true. However it was a long time ago, Skial Deathrun has changed from playstation to the noir maps and bearun. It'd be nice to get another hard map, and steamworks already is a great map imo.
