Look at any other server. Most use some form of hierarchy for their staff. It uses the steamid, not the ip. Most servers have at least some form of staff that is already on the server most of the time.

They wouldn't be solely to report they would be able to do things, but minimally, such as kicks, mutes, gags, etc. Whatever is deemed acceptable for that rank. I'm just telling what I was told by certain users. Don't want to argue the specific cases here.

Skial currently has around 90 tf2 servers while it has a total staff for not even a third of that. Creating a moderator rank for the tf2 servers would allow a greater staff presence and better handling of rule-breaking. I've spoken with many regulars on skial servers, and what should come as...

I'm not sure if it would be a viable route to take, but what about allowing players to opt out of it or give them some way to control it better? Pop up a message asking them to confirm or something?

To be honest I feel like this should have been a thing a long time ago. Its not as if its an extremely difficult task and with it it improves the integration of the forums with the game servers.

Like DaevidBaekr pointed out, there would probably be a lot of chat spam if there were no slash commands.
