Just because a mode isn't competitive or doesn't have real objectives doesn't mean it's fun to play against (or on) a stacked team. Have been several times on hightower for example half the enemy team is friendlying. Which then leads to the the like 4-5 people trying to play the game to get...
I wouldn't call a 30 minute votemute a consequence that requires acknowledgment. I have seen someone with the current limitations successfully votemute someone for simply being a child. If it gets easier, stuff like that happens far more often and for very little reward.
Unless you are recording your entire session, who is to say that vote wasn't merited? maybe I was being abusive over VC?
I'd rather a significant percentage of the server need to find the player annoying. You can very easily clientside or !ignore people being annoying.
(Though in the OP's...
Perhaps if this suggestion focused entirely on trade, I don't think those who object would.
Mutes are more significant there, and less likely to be abused than in a general server imo.
I don't know if possible to set different vote amounts for different servers though.
-1.
I agree, in theory. But, the biggest issue is that the lower the votes, the more likely it can be abused.
Reaching 50% isn't completely unreasonable. Especially with the !ignore command, and clientside mute. There are other tools if votemute fails.
I'd rather people need to use those...
Hey there. Don't know if this is even a possibility to tune/turn off.
But, most people hate engineers on hightower. It's particularly bad when the server is near empty and one or two of the bots on either team is building sentries. It's hard to fill up when there are sentries on the map in...
Because you are still violating a rule if you are triggering a mute or a ban. There is no reason to treat them separately, if someone, after being actioned four times still hasn't picked up on their behavior not being acceptable, why would a fifth time be any different?
^ Apologies, selected the wrong reason. But he tried to votemute me for "racism."
Can see from my chat history, as well as the general reaction from the server there is no racism present, just someone trying to grief.
