Some terms loophole the usage of such slurs ('laser
fag', '
gayle', etc), but it really depends on the eyes of the reporter.
Really solid take from Muffin in reaching an understanding from all of this. The underlying bridge of this suggestion is to protect the community, rather than providing an allowance for using slurs. Separate suggestion from this, for which I only still advocate those of color for open usage, but not for my own benefit and camaraderie. That's another discussion for which I will not derail this one from lol.
The stigma that surrounds all of this is how a community can be shaken to its core once the culture is threatened. If a report is generated to highlight the offense by my own chatlog as an example:
The report will be universally acknowledged as a discriminatory offense, even if the community has adopted the term. That's mostly why the suggestion begs for a report to be evaluated based on the room instead. Such reports have not been generated with this, but it only takes one. Can the room come together to make terms? Yes and no. There is no right or wrong, as everything depends on the circumstances.
