it's been quite a bit while. alright, here's my thought:

dr maps technically have a respawn button, so whoever got it and does not want to respawn everyone who's dead, it won't make dr players happy but technically doesn't go against rules.

now let's say same thing for respawn intels. someone who got it and didn't want to respawn everyone when near to the end, it's understandable that you want to drop it and not respawn everyone so anyone wouldn't have to get it.

edit: they're similar eachother but they're just both same

Maybe instead of actually coming out of the woodwork's after years of not actually playing dr just to vote on a bunch of suggestions you have no right of doing after not playing for years and seeing how they affect the game mode and players before spouting whatever opinion you have for x map or y mechanic in dr.

It's already been established that you do not have to respawn players at the end and you can drop a respawn coin before finishing. What FranGT did in that video was drop the coin into an environmental hazard so that nobody else could pick it up and they were given a six month ban for that which was completely disproportional.

Keep in mind that this offence can only be committed on deathrun on specific maps; you can't drop a respawn coin on 2Fort 24/7 and you can't drop a respawn coin on FF2. This is why I believe it should be treated with more leniency just like jailbreak offences were treated with more leniency until Luke showed up. Since the current admins are unable to use common sense it seems the only option is to put an exception in the rules.
 
I think its pretty self explanatory. Half of the suggestions you've commented and downvoted are multiple month old posts you weren't even around to them being enacted in the first place.

Aye let’s keep a clean discussion here. You have no evidence of malice aforethought so the side comment doesn’t help anyone. Both sides credibility is hurt when people do baseless attacks. Let’s keep it to the discussion at hand.

A Dr player is a Dr player just like a payload player is a payload player regardless of how long of a break they’ve taken.

Honestly, i feel like the whole Bring Respawn Intel is just so flawed and the only reason why mappers add them is because of DE saying to mappers "Oh umm don't add auto respawn, have players bring an intel for challenge and make respawning more interesting!" Which is so bullshit since According to what people are currently doing with the respawn intel's by just kilbinding at a place with the intel for NOBODY to get it!


I think the warns shouldn't be six month bans unless if it was a repeat offense for so long which is understandable. However, why not trying if they won't listen after 1 Week, month ban?


But honestly i don't feel like the respawn intels chaos are the server fault or players fault, its DE trying to come up with not well thought ideas and then get fucked overload when players start shitting on the logic! I feel like maps should just NOT think about using a respawn intel and stick to auto respawn or respawn toggles but if your trying to make respawning a challenge, THEN FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT USE AN INTEL!


But if people are just still greifing and its just commonly known on the map, then perhaps scrap the respawn intel and think of other ways!

a suggestion would be making stripping configs for every map that uses a intel to automatically respawn players regardless of if the coin was griefed or not. But talking to mappers like axelrock360 a lot of them wouldn't be okay with a perceived "change" to their vision of how a map should work regardless of de's thoughts and opinions. So it really comes down to does bottiger care about fixing the problem or pissing off what little mappers are left in the dr community.

I mean we had this conversation like a thousand times already but everyone agrees the ban was disproportionate, respawn coin isn't even a core mechanic of deathrun because only like 3 maps have them and as a matter of fact, older deathrun maps didn't even have force respawn mechanics in the first place because it was focused on traps, I don't really think that what he did with the respawn coin counts as griefing (although that's just my opinion), and even if it DOES count as griefing the point still stands that the punishment length was way too long. Imo these kinds of issues should be handled with warns, and if they repeat the offense, kick them or ban them for a day or a week at worst but not half a year.

Hot take but I think you should actually have played the game mode within the past 6 months to interact with the future of the game mode as far as suggestions go, why should old heads who haven't so much as joined the server in the past 2-3 years get any say in voting for changes that wouldn't affect them but might directly hurt the long term health of the game mode for the people who do actively play it.
