I don't know what rehydration tables are, but I'm guessing a pill is not putting fluids into your system, it might just help retain some you've already imbibed.
A pint of water before sleep has been said to help somewhat, but talking from years of experience, I don't think this does anything noteworthy.
One of the causes of hangovers alongside a bit of dehydration, is the fact that when inibriated you don't actually sleep.
The only thing I ever found that helped a hangover was 'hair of the dog'.
In conclusion, the only thing that prevents hangovers is not getting drunk.

I don't know what rehydration tables are
Compound which contain electrolytes and carbonhydrates enhancing body's water absorbion, designed for people doing endurance sports or activities where sweating is profuse

It's only a tenner for 10 tablets which is why I figured why can't I also use it for preventing hangovers at night before sleep (I get hangovers really easily and they are bad)

I guess you're going to need water for them to work, and I also presume the dehydration that comes with alcohol is not cause by sweating?
People have been trying to get a hangover cure for thousands of years with no success. I imagine popping a few of these next time your pissed up ain't going to kill ya, so it's worth a shot.
Just out of curiosity, how much would you normaly drink to cause a hangover?

You could give it a try, but I don't think it'd beat chugging water before bed, though the best option is to have water in between drinks
I did mean to combine the tablet with two litres of water because normally I do drink two litres before bed and I still have a hangover

Literally

Just drink a pint of water

Works when I'm high or drunk, one pint and usually
A) no headache
B) I can concentrate better
C) body feels a lot cooler

Most hangovers are due to dehydration which is why I bring up weed, as that's generally doing the same thing.

Same thing when you wake up. Better to drink a pint of water than a cup of coffee or an energy drink.

A pint of water when you wake up, when you have lunch, and before bed usually keeps your body hydrated enough to fix most headaches.

Also bread helps a lot after a few drinks, but not so much for ciggies.

Also, for waking up, I'd recommend ice or chilled water, as the sudden temperature change when you're waking up can make you more alert and get you going faster. Natural reaction to a temperature change.

I've heard from a trusted friend that a tablespoon of olive oil before getting wasted slows the alcohol's absorption rate. Nothing beats a glass of water between each drink and fat food like a bowl of fries at a bar while drinking, but I suppose that's nothing you haven't tried already.

As I mentioned, water doesn't really work. You don't need to take my word for this, but just know I drank a lot before quiting entirely. When I say a lot, I mean, 2-3 bottles of vodka a day was fairly common, hangovers were every day life.
My experience taught me that having a big breakfast with lots of fat and protien reduces the effects of a hangover faster than anything, so try a full english breakfast in the morning.
The other thing is your hangover will be worse depending on what you drink, I always found for myself that red wine was bad, also certain beers, Stella artois being one. Mixing drinks also massively increases hangovers, so stick to one type of drink for the night.
Alcohol disrupts your sleep cycle, and usualy sessions on the drink mean you staying up later than normal, so you get less sleep which is also of a poorer quality.
If your planning on ways to mitigate a hangover so that you can keep drinking, I'd say watch that, you could be suseptable to alcoholism, something thats on you before you know it, and is an extremely nasty and painful life to live.
Like I said before, the only way to avoid a hangover is abstinence.
I started drinking when I was about 14, I am now 52, I have not had a drink for four years. Every bad choice I ever made was due to booze. Just be careful out there, love your life, don't chase the high because that rabbit hole has no bottom.

Pedialyte works, though the tablets are the same concept. What you need when you're hungover are electrolytes, potassium and water of course.

If I was still going to bars every other day, I would totally give this a try and report back. As of late, haven't been going to bars or drinking because of how busy I've been. TF2 is my new drug in these trying times. Have you given those rehydration tablets a try by any chance? Would love to hear your experience with them.
