The above link was created by scammers with fake screenshots of Steam Community Admins, and their Steam IDs. (In relation to this scam: https://www.skial.com/threads/scam-...iles-76561198162359199-soviet-fireball.80046/)

If someone shows you something similar to this or exactly the same/copy pasted, do not believe the Community Thread. Do not send your items to any sort of "Item Database/Bot/Verification Bot."

No Valve/Steam Employee will check your backpack and ask for anything regarding a trade.

Thanks for posting this. I reported this community post to Valve (which I normally don't do cause they don't give a fuck).

Feel free to report the cockroach that made the guide as well.

That's interesting, looks like Soviet Fireball had his account stolen because he gave away his username and confirmation code, and then the scammer using the same bad grammar, scammed Brick.

And it looks like they took down their own Steam Community Fraud Post, but you can still see it in the screenshots.

Is the scammer/bot that was made to post that original Fake Steam Admin page.

Good, that community post is toast. They probably didn't delete it themselves, got the axe by Valve.

Be on the lookout if it comes up again.

Yeah, I wonder if there's a way to search steam community threads, to see if more pop up, I'm sure it's all just going to be copy pastes of that one, with maybe rephotoshopped pictures of fake admins profiles.

Another PSA:
Another person on my friends list just got hijacked and they sent me this:

Hi! I want to buy Battle pass at a discount, but for some reason I can't go to the site ... Do u have same problem? {Link removed per OP}

Now what I assume is that site is another way to steal your account info so beware.

You should probably remove that link so nobody accidentally clicks it

New Scam based on game Abstractism:
Near identical items to TF2 that can be traded in Steam, watch out for people trying this scam.

Evidently the game is made by Russians and also contains a Trojan as well as a Bitcoin Miner, so if scammers are using this game to try to scam, they might also end up hijacked and CPU used to mine Bitcoins for the developer.

New PSA:
Evidently it's getting worse.

There's a new game called Bitcoin Miner that fakes everything to do with TF2 items. People have evidently gotten scammed with thousands of fake keys, fake golden frying pans..etc.

https://steamdb.info/app/810270/items/

Beware. These items can look exactly like TF2 items in the Trade Window.

If you must trade and want to check, if you right click and inspect element in the Trade Offer page, the items must have a 440 above it to indicate the TF2 is the game/app where the item is in.

Yeah, at least Valve is going to replace the scammed items for this scam because it's their fault, as opposed to the other scams where Valve just goes, tough shit.
