Eh, sorry renegade. I actually have to agree with @JohnnyGaloshes . You are somewhat "thin skinned." As shown by your hostility towards johnny. You seem like a very nice guy and all, but when it comes down to the question of "Admin Material" you lack some of the main qualities it takes.

  1. It requires a "Thick Skin." An admin must be able to make quick and reasonable decisions when dealing with certain subjects. An admin must be able to take criticism from anyone and everyone and have the ability to do nothing more than smile back and make a decision. You seem to lack this in a sense, the evidence is that you actually let Johnny, of all people, get under your skin.
  2. You seem to lack responsibility. Your chat is filled with nothing more than trade offers and miniscule conversation. An admin should be able tot talk freely amongst a server and its users to understand it's needs and wants.
  3. Your play time...the last time skials stat has you checked in to a skial server is 6 days ago, and that was only for a trade server. A admin must be able to frequently pop in and out of servers and check up on the forums and the report list, and i barely ever see you post anything on the forums now that i think about it.
Your nice, you seem determined (a lot like me) and your definitely hungry for a shot...but you do lack some key elements to become a good admin, I feel as if the position would either:
A) Rip you apart
B) Make you Power Hungry
C) You might get the position...but disappear out of the blue

I'm changing my vote to a +/- 0 Right now until I can make a call.

I often use my mic to communicate but there are times when I use chat. And all I really do nowadays is trade and casual stuff. But, I can pop in and out of a server quickly if necessary. I don't post much on the forums anymore but I can get on more often.

The only reason I'm even commenting is because you remind me of well.. me about a week ago.

I haven't even been here a year and I already know that Johnny is just a whiny vindictive troll to be ignored when it comes to anything serious, such as admin applications. He is everything he said about himself and then some. He brought you down to his level and then he beat you with experience.

Responding to him in almost any capacity is like responding to obvious trollbait especially when most if not all of the posts rated dumb in his screenshot legitimately deserve their rating.

Don't fall for that crap, bro. This was probably the worst place for you to do that.

Before I say any of this, I want to say I mean no offense, you seem like a nice person, but I have a history of speaking truth on admin apps because as a very active player in general, I have to interact with them. If I feel if I call one in and they'll exacerbate the issue I have, what's the point?

An admin really can't be getting into arguments with people, it's just how skial is ran. People already give skial a lot of shit, if there is an argumentative admin who can't take criticism (either fair or unfair) they will not last long. Admins on skial are held to a very high standard, and can't be seen constantly getting into fights with people. Also I don't think you're logical enough. By this I mean people know you and Johnny don't get along, he could have left his -1, and it probably wouldn't have counted for much if you ignored it, since it's coming (partly) from personal bias. An admin will always get shit, the amount of times I've called Darjeeling or Meowcenary into hightower, only to have half the server cursing them out for doing what they had to do is countless. I just don't think you'd be well suited to deal with the criticism you'd no doubt get even if acting 100% in the right.

Anyone who can't handle johnny trolling gets a -1. How will you be able to handle everything else in servers, such as multiple johnny people?

I wanted to help out since I've been part of Skial for years now. I go onto the trade server more than any other Skial server and there's always a whole bunch of stuff happening so I figured that I could help clean up the trade servers and make them less cancerous. And yes, I do report people who break rules but it usually takes a long time for an admin to get to it.

In admin situations proper judgement and close analysis is required. This is can be obscured by bias or other personal interests, which will result in incorrect justice.
Middlemen just swap items for people and trace/check for scams.

I highly doubt Renegade would steal items or mess up a trade. Especially with steams new easy check policies.

I mean, at least I hope.

Well actually, I middleman often for stuff between people and I've never had to deal with trolls. Except people who lost a spycrab or whatever and wanted to run. I make sure to record that kind of stuff so if they try and run, I can send in the recording to SteamRep and get them marked.
