Hello, everyone.

I was recently removed from admin without being told about it until I joined a server to address someone being racist, and wasn't able to ban.

Before everyone starts cheering, I'll just lay down what I know:
Despite any disagreements that may have occurred, I have only attempted to keep the servers problem free, as I have from the start. I have a total of 123 bans that I've done out. I have stayed up late at night to assure no one has complaints unaddressed; I have left headphones on with Steam open to hear any alert messages while I sleep in case something needs to be taken care of; I've checked out every report of a hacker or person breaking the rules as fast as I have been able to.

Regardless of my personality - abrasive - I have gone out of the way to take care of the forums (Creeping Death, Brick and I single-handedly cared for every reported issue on the forums for the first 3 months), the servers (as previously stated), and to keep things tolerable, without people flagrantly breaking the rules and the common sense of principles of the servers we have and which I like so fondly.

Most of you will most likely vote, "No," offering some somewhat skewed opinion based on our clashes of opinions. However, I would implore you to vote based upon my effectiveness and not on your personal feelings for me.

Cinic is the admin who helps most to keep racists or scammers out of the trade servers - mostly because when I need an admin he is often on and he judges the situation well.
Cinic is a competent person and does no joke bans. I don't understand why people think he is a bad admin. He's always there when there's a problem (when he's on).
So lets get Cinic back.
 
Despite his, er, issues, never seen CiniC really abuse his admin powers. He is, overall, a very good admin despite popular opinion. I vote he keeps his powers, there are people who I think should stop being admin long before him.
 
I've seen Cinic leave servers countless times to go assist a member of the community on another server with a potential offender. It doesn't matter if it's 2 in the morning and mid round on stage 3 Dustbowl, or even us29. He ups and leaves, saying he'll be back in a few. I've called on him myself a few times, and he promptly comes. You can't ask for much more from an admin.
I believe he thoroughly deserves his position.
 
Sure, he's "abrasive," but he knows what the rules are and makes sure he abides by them. Whenever I'm around, he's always running around to different servers to take care of problems, and hasn't broken any rules in the process. He does his job, and damn does he do it well. Even if you don't like him, Skial would be a hell of a lot worse without him and his work. This drama-ing shouldn't be happening in the first place, so let's all help out our fellow bro.
 
All bias aside, he is really very good as admin. If he's online and I need an admin he is usually the first I will go to because I know he will be quick and do whatever needs to be done. He may be an asshole sometimes but I haven't seen that interfere with any admin abilities.
 
I personally never had a problem with Cinic. Sure he is joking on the forums sometimes, but when it comes down to the important admin actions he does it seriously and always knows exactly what to do. I am sure people on this thread will mention the whole Direwulf drama, but Cinic made a smart decision then.

One admin does not represent the entire community.
CiNiC is a good person, just a bit "abrasive," as some put it.
He hasn't abused his powers in any way (ie banning someone for using the Backburner) no matter how much someone pisses him off.
 
I'm going to say yes, with reservations. CiNiC's "abrasive" personality and prolific administrative actions seem to have made him a lightning rod for controversy and overall this controversy has not in my opinion been the best for the skial community. However, my personal experience with CiNiC, while not the most extensive, does lead me to think that he is trying to become a more positive influence in the community and in game which is why I would have him stay as an admin. He may not always be my first choice of person to play with (although I can't deny having fun when I do play with him because he does tend to pull the level of play up), but he is one of the first admins I would think of contacting if I have a problem.

All things personality aside (and I really don't see the whole " CiniC is an asshole" thing). Being an admin is a job. Its the closest thing to a boss we have here. An employee can dislike, even hate his boss, but the boss is boss. The boss is the guy who kicks everybody's ass around so that things get done and done properly. Odds are he isn't your friend but that isn't his job. Being a boss IS.


In short, DEAL WITH IT. If you can't take maybe 1 hour a day of some guy off in (Canada?) telling you why you can't do such and such a thing and occasionally casually bitching over a game (BACKBURNERS FTW). How do you stay on the internet for more then 5 seconds?

He talk rude to me sometimes, n=but he is good admin. He jump arround server to control people being disrespect the rules. He don't ban people without warning. also i played tf2 with him alot and i never saw single ban caused by him that He just wanted to. He ban people that most people in server want.
 
I haven't actually... played in a while, so I have no clue of this drama you have been going on appaently for quite sometime for what I've heard.
I would kindly ask not to pull me into this mess I have no knowledge about.
So I'm staying as neutral, I vote nothing.
 
May be overkill to try and apply this here, but I try to hold myself to this in everything I undertake

  • shall conduct themselves with integrity, honesty, fairness and objectivity in their professional activities
  • shall uphold and enhance the honour, dignity and reputation of their professions and thus the ability of the professions to serve the public interest
I dunno, after my first few encounters with cinic, I sorta avoided joining servers he was on, and when I found myself on the same server, usually clientmuted him. I think he is decent with point one, but from my limited encounters with him, point two may be lacking.

I did that twice. I fail to see how that equals up to the numerous times you have verbally abused people, particualry Grabovski.
And way to play the age card, must've taken some deep thought to think of that one.
