Why?
A little bit of respect to other thoughts would be welcome. There is nothing politcally correct about ponys neither.Because there's nothing I can say about Christianity that is politically correct.

Its only asking who is not what your opinion on the matter is.
Thoughts aren't the same as opinions. What i said (or what i was trying to say) is that you should have at least a little bit of respect towards other religions then yours (even you think it is bullshit).

Why are people religious?
My family didn't give even the slightest attention to religion while I grew up, and we lived on the countryside with not much of a population (except cows) so I was pretty clueless about religion as a whole. Later I sang in a church choir for a few years and got in contact with Christinaity, found the whole idea rather pleasant and began going on some sort of weekly discussion group that was a sub-group of the church choir.
Unfortunately I had a rough time at the end of that and I had to leave the choir entirely, and in that way I lost the interest in continuing my involvement in religion, I kinda gave up on that it was something for me.
As of right now in our modern society, I don't think religion is going to survive much longer. As the older generations dies out, less people will actually believe and rather get involved with our progress in research and science. But I have never or will never judge anyone for being religious, it's their own choice.
Same here.I was raised Catholic. I no longer practice nor believe in it, but I can respect anyone's beliefs as long as they aren't shoving it in my face or hurting anyone/anything. Whatever gives people comfort and hope, I guess.
