Nope.
yes you can only see 60 of those frames per second but the image looks at lot smoother and consistent at 120fps even if you dont' have a 120hz monitor.
If i get below 90fps in a game it feels horrible. I like being able to do a 180 turn in game with the game looking as smooth as possible.

edit: of course my personal perception
With a quality GPU, Vsync won't have the typical downsides of delayed response. It's all in the hardware. Quality in, Quality out is the golden rule.

I have a AMD 6850 and there isn't a game (that i know of) that doesn't run at less than 60fps on it. As a competitive gamer i feel the input lag using Vsync and significantly reduces my fun playing it.

Of course, personal preference once again. I know other people will also argue about if it makes a difference.

Please as an I.T get the computer away from the floor.
Please, as a computer engineering student, please explain why that is bad? Aside from more than normal dust that is..

Edit: Not trying to be a smartass. I'm genuinely curious.

About 85 percent of computers are close to the floor (towers) theres really no harm in keeping it low to the ground, assuming its not flat against carpet (ventilation issue) as long as you properly maintain it. (keeping fans clean, watching temperature levels etc.)

I keep my floors clean, and it is about 2 inches or more off the ground, the picture may have made it look closer. I'm not a noob when it comes to computer health and maintenance.

Yes, but you still get dust. The main question is, how often do you clean the dust out? Close to floor is fine as long as you are periodically cleaning the dust out. I personally clean mine out at least once a month

Same here, at least once a month, sometimes twice.
