Microsoft deliberately sabotages every other OS they make
It's called "perfect marketing". They release shitty OS just so when people get tired of all the bugs, they release a new OS which could be positioned as a savior. :D

I'm going to download the Release Preview which apparently came out while I was gone tomorrow and see what's changed.

I'm using the 2nd version of vista. You know, The GOOD one.
I hope you won't take it as an offense, but if you really knew what you are talking about, you would have said something like "I'm using Vista SP3, the custom build", instead of "The GOOD one." :D

Seriously though it's not that difficult. IT IS A TILE WITH A LABEL THAT TELLS YOU WHAT IT IS. HOW MUCH SIMPLER CAN IT FUCKING GET AHHHHHH- going to calm down again. But if you were going to install it then you should know what you're doing. It installs over Win7 so it gets rid of your programs and stuff. You need to install it on another partition.

And on Metro, IT'S NOT THAT FUCKING DIFFICULT- calming down again. It is new and different, but it's easy to glide through after a few hours of getting used to it. I have used Windows 8 for my OS ever since the Developer Preview back in September so I will definitely cut slack with you only using it for a few hours.

But seriously you can just go back to the desktop. Hell, I use the desktop 99% of the time! I only go back to Metro when there's something I can do there that's easier than in Desktop, like the search function WHICH I FUCKING LOVE, or when I want to quickly start a program I use a lot that I pinned to the Start screen. Just use Windows 8 for more than a few hours and you'll get used to it. Then come up with an opinion after using it for a while.

Just some advice from a fanboy of Windows 8.
been using the even further back preview of metro on the xbox and while its more or less nice with a kinect the interface with a mouse and keyboard looks like it would be a pain in the ass if the gave us some kind of natural interface then maybe but not until then

and per the jabs at the good version of vista 7 is actually just a service pack of vista if you've ever gone into command line and ran a ver youll see 7 is actually windows version 6.1 not 7 as you would expect

It's not that, I just feel that okay, Apple owns the mobile market. That's great. Microsoft's still owns the computer market. I can understand that they want an operative system that's compatible with all systems, that's great, but when you create an operative system that incorporates tablet functions into a computer - maybe that's a great idea, I don't know, but I felt it was executed poorly. Then again, I have no say in this since I barely used the damn OS, but still, the logic just feels weird to me.

...just thought I'd ask, did you guys forget to note that Google's stock is still higher than Apple's? Ergo, I'd say they are on the road to taking dominance from Apple in the mobile realm. Just food for thought.

Really? Everyone I know uses an iPhone, I only know that me and my physics teacher owns an Android.

also not to mention the stock that Microsoft still holds in apple...... and Google's only doing better after the acquisition of Motorola's mobile division

I'm under the persuasion that Apple is a temporary fad. They sport super expensive devices that the majority of individuals in the world either can't or simply won't purchase. No offense, but how long do you think people will be able to afford Apple products when the U.S. Dollar Ponzi Scheme unravels?

Apple is still living off the gravy train of success that followed the iPod. Google markets to the masses.

Yeah, I usually like to taunt my programming teacher for using Apple products. He says it's what the professionals use. Tsk, silly teacher.

It's too bad the purchasing and use of Apple products is more suited to the realm of socioeconomic status symbolism than to functionality. That principle of flaunting wealth through luxury-priced products (like Apple products) has to have a short lifespan in general. This isn't Demolition Man where the only place to eat is Taco Bell...
