is there an unusual price guide / spreadsheet or anything like that?
because in the future i want to get in the "business" but i have no idea what the hats are worth

It could just be all the unusual effects in order based on their value. Or tiers.
Yeah, but different effects are worth different amounts on different hats. A nuts n bolts ol' snaggletooth, for example, I'd imagine would be less than a nuts n bolts pencil pusher. Also, heavy hats in general are worth less, so even with a good effect...
Anyway I hope this post made sense...

Yeah but excluding themed hats and NnB Engie hats there's a pretty clear list.

Nuts n' Bolts (excluding Engineer hats), Green & Purple Confetti and Massed Flies --> Peace Sign and Circling TF2 Logo --->Bubbling and Planets --->Steaming and Smoking (Orbiting fire?) ---> Vivid and Searing Plasma ---> Haunted Ghosts and Circling Heart maybe? ---> Stormy Storm and Blizzardy Storm ---> Green & Purple Energy ---> Sunbeams ---> Burning and Scorching

I think it goes about like this, don't know about Halloween effects though.

Halloween effects are worth more, since they are even more rare. And with those effects its Bubbles>Eerie orbiting fire>Flaming Lantern>Cloudy Moon

When unusual hats were introduced, we called Texas Slim's Dome Shine w/Sunbeams "Jesus Engie". I'm surprised that would be so cheap, maybe I should try to acquire one for my own use.

Before the new effects Sunbeams was on the top, but it's not nowadays. I think Scorching is more than Burning?
no burning is definitely on the top. Then sunbeams then scorching. On pyro I think scorching is more then sunbeams.

This is why I don't bother with unusuals. Prices fluctuate all the time, and they're duped left and right, so the value is only going down.

There's no real price list. Everyone can agree on which effects and hats are either worthless or highly desired.

But for the hats "worth" $1000+, it will take you several months before you find someone that is both rich enough and willing to blow $1000+ on that specific hat. Sometimes the speculator will be stuck with the hat and eventually sell it for less than he paid for. If someone uncrates one of the "rare" combinations and is willing to sell it, expect a sharp price drop. The same principle applies to the other hats on a lesser degree.

Depends on the hat. Burning Team Captain sells immediately for $1.5k, and an unusual spreadsheet is impossible, as prices are subjective to those buying and selling. Also the Halloween effects are low to mid tier.

I haven't seen anyone offer up this much in cash. It is always traded for promos and other unusuals that are also based on over-estimated prices that you would have to spend several months finding a buyer for.
