My problem is fixed, @CDAWG @DaJaKoe if you guys have any custom huds installed you should delete them and see if that helps, it helped me.

I don't recall ever getting a custom HUD. The only downloads I've done are the automated ones for Jail Break and Hale.

Well then sorry, I don't know how to fix that. :c
EDIT: Maybe try validating your files, if that fails then I have nothing.

While my hud may be a problem, it's not only that because every time I try to do anything my steam crashes. Doesn't matter what game I launch or if I go to any community hubs.

Validation went through, but didn't work. The issue for me is that the game crashes once it reaches the first window of the game, where there's an advertisement, but it then crashes.

Ah it's the motd type in console cl_disablehtmlmotd 1

It disables that window with the ads in it, this is the only fix I could find to that and it helped @Kyle
