We have plenty of ratings already, and this one seems kind of pointless, as its only logically reason to use it is if someone 'ninjas' your post, which is uncommon already

Yeah cause getting rid of neat, creative and old would break a lot of hearts. I like the idea of little changes like this that wont disrupt the flow of the forums.

not arguing in favor of more ratings (I'd rather do away with them completely) but what on earth is the problems with 'more' ratings? besides the fact that the bar could get clogged with icons, which couldn't happen even if you added like 100 more. it's not really a valid argument. don't say that it could get confusing with all those cutesy icons, because hovering over the icon reveals its name, and the system can be extended and will likely adapt in the presence of a ton of more ratings. if push comes to shove, then you can just have ratings organized into groups for accessibility
and questioning the practical value of a 'Ninja!' rating would have to call the purposes of every other rating into question. wouldn't neat be covered by ratings like creative or winning or informative, or even like? and what about troll? doesn't dumb adequately cover troll? I think it does. and what about optimistic? what the fuck is the point of optimistic? optimistic's values exist in Friendly, and really, if you look at it a certain way, vice versa. to that end, why not just like the post and then tell the poster in question that 'you sound rather optimistic'. if a rating doesn't necessarily cover a certain post, then that's what text boxes are utilized for, so that people can actually flesh out their points and discuss why a post merits a certain rating, instead of mindlessly attaching attributes to posts
if I were to make THAT argument, then I could call into question the very existence of ratings themselves, and how they're actually detrimental to Skial since they discourage social interaction and clamp down on intelligent exchanges between posters in favor of quickly judging a post without providing reasons as to why a post deserves the rating it was assigned

I like the idea. "Neat", in my opinion, is a little bit lame, and I think it should be done away with.
