i was just playing on the server and suddenly ''kicked for command spamming'' o_o then i joined it again and 10 min later ''kicked for command spamming''. I didn't really use them that much, so why should i get kicked? :i

I believe command spamming kicks aren't from admins, but rather the server. For example; I had a high five taunt and was bored so I was pressing the taunt key rapidly. Shortly after I was kicked for 'command spamming'. Unless there was a admin looking at the command logs or what ever and kicked me very, very quickly then it was without a doubt a automatic kick.

The commands don't consist of just voice commands either. If you're spamming a taunt key, a keybind, spamming the console with commands, etc. then the server will probably automatically kick you for "command spamming".

I could be wrong but this is what I pieced together while playing TF2.

I had this happen to me once. All I did was use the "Yes" voice command. BAM, kicked for command spamming.

I think that was just a coincidence. This is would be considered a command, but I think by default it's something like 100 commands per minute is what the threshold is. Just so happens that Yes brought you over. A lot of times I've seen this with macros like "mousedown" being bound to jump and such since you can quickly flood the server.

Default is 30/s

something nefarious.

I think the spam kicker might need a little looking at honestly. It seems like it's taking the total number of voice commands in the server, not just one person. Because when it happened to me, I had just joined the server and didn't even have a minute in game when I got kicked for command spamming.

Don't think it's something we can fix since it's Valve.

We've had an autokicker all this time?

I've been on the servers for ages
And gotten into "Yes!" "No!" "Yes!" "No!" battles with teammates for ages

Never once had this happen.

Should be on an individual basis, and unless you're spamming the command at a blazing rate (probably impossible if you're just pressing a key), it would be impossible to activate with voice commands.

It's part of the default server. The default threshold is pretty high so most people don't hit it unless they're doing something nefarious.
iirc it's part of smac

It could be an issue being compounded by the recent visual glitches if this is happening alot all of a sudden.
