What is Spycrabbing?

How does one crab whilst being a Spy? A couple of friends of mine decided to have a Spycrabbing tournament in a random trade server. (First to three spycrab taunts)\

We had originally thought that Spycrabbing is when you are able to do one of those taunts but I've seen some people walking while doing the taunts.

Just need to clear up a foggy question: What is Spycrabbing? Is it when you do the taunts themselves? Or is it when your able to crouch-walk while doing the taunt? Heard from a random community that the latter was what they called "Spycrabbing". But my friend held his disguise kit in his hand, looked up, held crouch and started walking and we thought that that might have been Spycrabbing itself.

I see. So, it is just a normal taunt? Why is it that I sometimes see others crouch-walking with the kit in their hands, and their arms going as crazy as crazy legs? :P

this isn't the normal taunt, it mas implemented later on as the game progressed. It take a few tries to get the taunt which is why it's more of a gambling game and why i should keep away from it.

The Spycrab is an animation oversight caused by the Spy looking straight up while holding the Disguise Kit, crouching, then walking in any direction. This causes the Spy to move around in an amusing fashion that resembles a crab.
Due to its popularity, the Spycrab was included as an alternative taunt for the Disguise Kit in the Sniper vs. Spy Update.

I am aware of the game itself, but I'm referring to the action of Spycrabbing rather than the game of it. However Spycrabbing is to taunt with the crab-like taunt yes? According to TEhMAn92 and the tf2 wiki, it's when you crouch-walk, and look up with your kit.

Spycrabing taunt (just taunt, no crouching) is used for gambling.
Spycrabing using crouch (not the taunt) is used for general messing around (sometimes griefing) and is not used for gambling.

Ah, thanks for clearing it up. Makes more sense now, thought there was only one type of Spycrabbing but now understand there that are two. Thanks again! :)
